About The Position

The Safety Technician will support the Safety Team in overseeing and managing safety protocols and procedures at our dairy digester, biogas, and biogas conditioning plants. This includes assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety protocols, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. The Safety Technician will play a key role in promoting a safe work environment for all employees and contractors involved in site operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in the renewable energy or dairy, agriculture or utility industries.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote sites as needed.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and productivity systems
  • Must be proficient in English.

Responsibilities

  • Help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA, environmental, and industry-specific guidelines.
  • Assist in incident investigations, help determine root causes and support the implementation of corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide safety training and guidance to staff, ensuring they are aware of safety practices while still able to execute their roles efficiently.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits regularly to identify potential hazards, offering practical solutions that align with the fast-paced nature of biogas operations.
  • Help develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring all employees are trained and prepared for potential incidents.
  • Work closely with plant operators to create a culture of safety that supports high productivity, without imposing unnecessary restrictions on operational flow.
  • Foster a workplace environment that prioritizes safety as a core value, while also promoting efficiency and high up time in all operations.
