About The Position

At Centrus Energy, safety isn’t just a box we check—it’s the foundation of everything we do. As a Safety Specialist, you’ll be the everyday champion of safe practices, ensuring our people, contractors, and facilities operate in compliance with industrial safety standards. Whether you’re training teams, reviewing job hazards, or stepping in with “stop work” authority when needed, you’ll be the trusted guide who helps us keep safety first, always. In this role, you’ll partner with plant personnel and contractors to spot, evaluate, and control workplace hazards. You’ll lead safety trainings, guide pre-job briefs, and review work procedures to make sure industrial safety requirements are baked into everything we do. From job hazard analyses and accident investigations to injury reporting and compliance checks, you’ll be hands-on in shaping a culture of safety. With full authority to hit pause when risks arise, you’ll be both protector and problem-solver—helping us maintain a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment.
