GPHA, a non-profit organization that was founded in 1970, is hiring Full-time Safety and Security Officer, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at multiple locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or GED)
• At least three years' experience as a security officer or certification from a security officer training program
• Knowledgeable of Safety and Security requirements
• Must be able to deal with people effectively and professionally
• Dealing with disruptive patients or visitors peacefully by applying de-escalation skills
• CPR certified

Responsibilities

• Patrolling properties and their surroundings for non-compliance activity, suspicious behavior, or unsafe conditions
• Investigating disturbances and managing aggressive or violent behavior
• Verbally warning individuals of rule infractions
• Physically guiding or escorting aggressive persons to safety
• Using approved techniques to diffuse or control aggressive behavior when necessary
• Securing aggressive individuals in a safe position until law enforcement arrives in emergencies
• Providing safety updates during staff meetings as required
• Maintenance and Custodial Services and health center operations
