About The Position
This is a temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Safety and Risk Management. The position is available on or after October 1, 2026, and will end on or before May 21, 2027. There is a possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance. Under the supervision of the Director for Safety & Risk Management, this position will perform various duties to support the department's operations.
Requirements
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
- Driving may be required to carry out assigned tasks.

Responsibilities
- Perform front desk duties including answering phones, responding to emails, and receiving walk-ins.
- Pick up, distribute mail, and make on-campus deliveries as needed.
- Create and update spreadsheets and databases.
- Compose correspondence, type letters, and memos, often confidential in nature.
- Perform heavy data entry, filing, and clerical projects.
- File, shred, scan, and copy documents as needed.
- Prepare training materials such as making copies, collating, stapling, and folder preparation.
- Perform office flu hygiene prevention (dusting, sanitizing).
- Other duties as assigned.
