About The Position

A CES safety representative protects field crews by enforcing safety rules, checking work sites, and stopping unsafe actions. Core duties include daily safety talks, checking gear, and tracking accidents.

Ensure adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols
Ensure adherence to NFPA 70E electrical safety guidelines
Perform Site JSA Audits
Give audit feedback to site teams
Verify high morale and a high sense of Safety (Safety Mindset) in site teams
Inspect employee and site PPE for expiration dates and policy compliance
Inspect company vehicles for expiration dates and policy compliance
Track Greenflash Site Safety Metrics
Monitor contractor safety execution
Verify contractor orientations
Verify contractor permits
Verify contractor task-specific controls
Track findings with responsible owners and deadlines
Verify completion of findings
Escalate unresolved or recurring hazards
Communicate significant hazards and incidents to CES and Greenflash
Provide monthly findings, corrective-action status, and existing safety metrics

Responsibilities

Analyze the site safety processes and operations to identify early indicators of potential future incidents and address issues and eliminate risks.
Travel to job sites and perform safety audits looking for hazards at the site and ensuring that teams are following all safety policies, procedures, and protocols when performing work.
Halt any job immediately if workers face danger or ignore safety protocols.
Provide safety orientations, Job Safety Analysis trainings, LOTO trainings, crew safety talks, and ensure the teams know how to properly inspect all of their tools, equipment, and PPE.
Lead investigations for near-misses, injuries, or property damage, and write reports.
Ensure adherence to OSHA rules, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and NFPA 70E electrical safety guidelines.
Perform Site JSA Audits and give audit feedback to the site teams.
Verify the site teams have high morale and a high sense of Safety (Safety Mindset).
Inspect employee and site PPE and company vehicles for expirations dates and policy compliance.
Track Greenflash Site Safety Metrics: Number of Personnel on Site Monthly, Monthly Hours Worked, Loss Time Injury Reporting, First Aid Reporting, Near Miss Reporting, Property Damage Reporting, Vehicle Incident Reporting, Safety Observation Reporting.
Monitor contractor safety execution, verifying required orientations, applicable work permits, and task-specific controls before work begins.
Track findings with responsible owners and deadlines; verify completion and escalate unresolved or recurring hazards.
Promptly communicate significant hazards and incidents to CES and Greenflash; provide monthly findings, corrective-action status, and existing safety metrics.
