About The Position

Join a subcontractor supporting the early stages of a large-scale data center construction project in Canton, OH. Project scope includes civil construction, site development, excavation, underground utilities, grading, and infrastructure work. The Construction Safety Representative will provide daily field safety oversight for civil construction crews, subcontractors, and supervision while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and project-specific safety requirements.

Requirements

• CHST, ASP, CSP, or Other BCSP Credential
• Current CPR / First Aid / AED Certification
• Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
• Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
• Working knowledge of Data Center Construction Safety
• Working knowledge of Civil Construction Operations
• Working knowledge of Excavation & Trenching Safety Requirements
• Working knowledge of Soil Classification & Protective Systems
• Working knowledge of Underground Utility Construction
• Working knowledge of Heavy Equipment Operations
• Working knowledge of Traffic Control & Site Logistics
• Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
• Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
• Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
• Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
• Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for civil construction operations
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
• Monitor excavation activities, utility installation, grading operations, and heavy equipment activities
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project

Benefits

• $56/hr
• Per Diem: None
• $150/month Completion Bonus
• Weekly Pay
• Monday-Saturday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM | 60 Hours Per Week
