About The Position

This role is a hybrid position focusing on both Safety/Quality responsibilities. The primary duties involve supporting and promoting safe practices in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements. The coordinator will act as an OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance resource, lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis, and work with the facility operations team to determine corrective/preventative actions for safety and quality. They will perform risk and hazard assessments, conduct periodic reviews of work procedures and Job Hazard Assessments, and establish/drive continuous improvement in safety/quality monitoring and recordkeeping systems. Additionally, the role involves assisting Site Managers with safety/quality strategies, facilitating EHS training, compiling compliance documentation, driving waste elimination, ensuring compliance with all policies, and managing safety/quality metrics and reports. The coordinator will also serve as the training coordinator for EHS/Quality training through Paylocity, oversee employee progress in the Quantix SCS Safety InSight Program, and continually improve the Responsible Care Program and Operation Clean Sweep Blue. Building strong partnerships with clients, Operations Managers, and Leadership is key, as is driving the application of safety/quality procedures through audits and training. The role includes conducting daily, weekly, and monthly safety/quality checks, reporting metrics, conducting incident investigations, and driving emergency response activities. Secondary duties include performing other administrative or operational duties as required to support the local operations team.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in an EHS role in an industrial setting.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a Quality role in an industrial setting.
  • Behavioral Based Safety Programs Experience
  • Public speaking and/or training experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, training, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to Influence Internal/External Customers
  • Demonstrated Root-Cause analysis skills (ex. 5-Why).
  • Leadership skills to direct personnel, implement initiatives, performing follow-up activities.
  • Analytical ability to assess complex situations and apply problem solving strategies.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Planner, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ability to use a variety of software applications to analyze, monitor data, create reports, and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes safe practices in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Acts as an OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance resource.
  • Leads or participates in incident investigations (injury, property damage, near-miss, environmental deviations, etc.) and root cause analysis, and works with the facility operations team to determine appropriate corrective/preventative actions for both safety and quality.
  • Perform risk and hazard assessments/inspections to determine employee risk/exposure and suggest/drive actions to mitigate/reduce them.
  • Perform periodic reviews of all written Work Procedures and Job Hazard Assessments, to ensure all hazards have been mitigated and task steps align with these documents.
  • Establish and drive continuous improvement in facility's safety/quality monitoring and recordkeeping systems to ensure compliance with all Quantix SCS policies and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Assist Site Managers and team to evaluate and determine appropriate pro-active safety/quality strategies for projects that may have an impact on facilities or employees.
  • Facilitate safety, health, and environmental training for all Quantix personnel at the assigned location.
  • Compile and track all documentation for compliance with all safety/quality policies and required activities (Incident investigations, Inspection Records, Audits, JHAs, etc.).
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement in the facilities environmental monitoring and recordkeeping data management systems to ensure compliance with all Quantix SCS policies and federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the site effort to eliminate waste/scrap by correcting the root causes and/or reducing waste, reusing, and recycling various materials, if applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensure all safety, quality and environmental metrics and reports are complete and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Serve as training coordinator for all EHS/Quality training through Paylocity.
  • Oversee site employee progress for the Quantix SCS Safety InSight Program. Provide progress updates to Management as requested.
  • Continual improvement of Responsible Care Program and initiatives.
  • Continual improvement of our commitment to Operation Clean Sweep Blue.
  • Build strong partnerships with client’s representatives, Operations Managers and Leadership.
  • Will work with the local operations team to drive application of safety/quality procedures in the field through audits, develop and deliver safety/quality training.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety/quality checks and audits of operational processes and equipment as needed.
  • Report all safety/quality metrics, conduct incident investigations, and drive all emergency response activities at the local site, including training and drills.
  • Perform other administrative duties or operational duties as required to support the local operations team.
