About The Position

The Safety Programs Administrator supports the safety function across UniFirst's network of 260+ locations by coordinating third-party safety programs and requests, managing day-to-day safety communications, supporting field safety operations, and coordinating the delivery of safety training programs. This position serves as a central point of contact for safety-related inquiries and works closely with Operations, Risk Management, Human Resources, and location leadership to promote consistent safety practices across the company. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and proficient in utilizing safety management systems and related technology platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a safety, risk management, or related administrative role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a high volume of locations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Origami Risk or similar risk/claims management platforms preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the corporate safety inbox by receiving, routing, and responding to routine inquiries from field locations and internal departments.
  • Coordinate follow-up on safety-related requests to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain organized records of safety communications and assist with tracking action items.
  • Escalate significant issues to the appropriate safety leadership.
  • Coordinate requests and communications with third-party vendors, insurance carriers, and claims administrators.
  • Assist with collecting and organizing reports, data, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare summaries and dashboards for review by the Corporate Safety team.
  • Track outstanding requests and follow up as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for routine safety questions from field locations.
  • Coordinate follow-up with Regional Safety personnel, Operations, and other departments.
  • Assist with tracking incident investigations and corrective actions to completion.
  • Help coordinate site visits, audits, and other safety initiatives as directed.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for company safety training programs.
  • Assist with developing, updating, and distributing training materials.
  • Maintain training records and monitor completion of required training.
  • Follow up with locations regarding overdue training assignments.
  • Manage safety data and workflows within platforms such as Origami Risk (or equivalent risk/claims management systems)
  • Build and maintain PowerPoint presentations, reports, and training materials for leadership and field audiences
  • Utilize other internal systems and tools (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, LMS platforms) to track metrics, manage documentation, and support reporting needs
  • Support continuous improvement of safety data tracking and reporting processes
  • Support internal and external safety audits as needed
  • Assist with OSHA recordkeeping and regulatory compliance documentation
  • Perform other safety-related administrative duties as assigned
