About The Position

Join a contractor supporting industrial and commercial maintenance projects in the Cincinnati area. This opportunity provides hands-on safety oversight for roofing, scaffolding, insulation, painting, and industrial coatings operations across active commercial and industrial facilities.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Minimum 1+ years of construction safety experience
  • Experience supporting roofing, scaffolding, and aerial lift operations
  • Experience working on large commercial or industrial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of hazard recognition, inspections, and corrective actions
  • Ability to work extensive overtime and maintain a consistent field presence
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Roofing Safety Practices
  • Working knowledge of Scaffold Safety & Inspection Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Coatings & Painting Operations
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection Systems
  • Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Working knowledge of Permit-to-Work Processes
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting industrial coating or painting projects
  • Insulation contractor safety experience
  • Scaffold safety oversight experience
  • Experience conducting site audits and field safety observations
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
  • Previous experience working with Niles Industrial or contractors who have completed prior site training

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily field safety oversight for roofing, scaffold, coatings, and insulation work
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor roofing activities, scaffold erection and use, aerial lift operations, and coating applications
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project

Benefits

  • $48/hr
  • Overtime included in scheduled 70-hour work weeks
  • $125/day Per Diem (Non-Local Candidates)
  • $150/month Completion Bonus
