About The Position

Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation for the mission critical industry, is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager based out of the Indianapolis area to oversee, monitor, and elevate safety across our construction projects. This role is all about boots-on-the-ground support—conducting audits, leading training, driving safety stand-downs, and tracking observations directly on our job sites. You will be the champion for our safety culture, ensuring our internal teams, trade partners, and subcontractors are proficient with industry-leading safety technologies and fully compliant with project standards. This position requires active travel to job sites throughout Indiana and southern Indiana.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of construction safety or industrial safety supervisory experience.
  • OSHA 30 (Required)
  • First Aid / CPR Certified (Preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, Procore, and Predictive Solutions.
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings, floor plans, and subcontractor construction sequencing.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and be fully willing to travel to job sites throughout the state of Indiana.
  • Must be able to pass a background check as required by our clients.
  • Strong, assertive verbal and written communication skills; a team player dedicated to top-tier client service.

  • Professional Degree in Health & Safety or a related field (Construction Management, Engineering, etc.) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and enforce company safety policies.
  • Conduct random and scheduled site inspections, audit safety compliance, and closely collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to maintain hazard-free sites.
  • Conduct new-hire safety orientations outlining project expectations, client safety policies, and legislative compliance.
  • Prepare and lead health, safety, and environmental training programs.
  • Support supervisors in thoroughly investigating, documenting, and managing any on-site accidents or injuries.
  • Input observations and track data utilizing EHS and project management software like Procore and Predictive Solutions.
  • Assist with basic quality control tracking as needed.
  • Coordinate vital workplace plans including emergency evacuations, fire emergency protocols, and traffic control.
  • Distribute necessary safety materials, supplies, and personal protective equipment.
  • Act as the primary safety point of contact to build strong on-site relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
