About The Position

Statewide Roofing is seeking an experienced Roofing Safety Manager to evaluate safety protocols across job sites, collaborate with the team to organize safety training, and report issues to management. The ideal candidate would understand the balance between production and safety and demonstrate a proactive approach to workplace safety. The job includes significant fieldwork, so a flexible schedule during our busy season is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, roofing, masonry, or a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of CCR Title 8: IIPP, COSP, HIPP, Fall Protection, Emergency Procedures.
  • OSHA 30- hour certification in Construction Safety.
  • Current certifications include First Aid, CPR, and trade-specific safety certifications such as Forklift Operator Certification, Control of Hazardous Energy – Advanced Training, and Fall Protection – Advanced Training.
  • Experience with Risk Assessment Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Google products.
  • Leadership training and certifications, or 3 years' experience in a leadership role.
  • Ability to access heights via ladders or scaffolding.
  • Team player, self-confident, motivated, and independent.
  • Possess good knowledge of commercial roofing and demolition.
  • Ability to represent Statewide and Sequoia in a professional manner.
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish (strongly preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, Health, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preview projects and project sites before work begins to determine safety-related risks.
  • Visit active project sites to assess ongoing work conditions to ensure compliance.
  • Work with project management teams and field workers to develop and implement solutions to safety-related issues on project sites.
  • Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive safety programs on-premises or at project sites.
  • Maintain safety-related paperwork, including OSHA 300 logs.
  • Maintain safety training certifications, including OSHA OTI.
  • Work with senior management to create an Emergency Action Plan.
  • Train company employees on safe work practices.
  • Create materials and present at meetings.
