About The Position

We are seeking a Safety Manager to champion superior safety performance across driving, warehouse, field, and office operations, ensuring a secure environment for all. This role involves monitoring safety systems, developing training programs, ensuring legal compliance (OSHA and Louisiana state requirements), and managing the worker's compensation program. The Safety Manager will also act as a subject matter expert in accident investigations and identify emerging needs and new technologies to enhance company capabilities. Requirements

  • Proven expertise in identifying hazards and implementing effective corrective measures.
  • Demonstrated success managing worker's compensation programs, including documentation, tracking, reporting, and liaising with insurers and medical providers.
  • Ability to create and deliver training on a wide range of safety topics to diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years in safety management or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience managing safety programs and training for varied populations.
  • Proficiency in compliance and reporting at local, state, and national levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and Louisiana state laws.
  • Experience in fleet management.

  • Monitor safety systems and reports, collaborating with supervisors, managers, and leadership to swiftly address and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive safety training programs, including effective communication methods to engage diverse teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant laws, including OSHA regulations and Louisiana state requirements, while handling required reporting and record-keeping.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in accident investigations, providing expert guidance to supervisory staff.
  • Innovate by identifying emerging needs, leveraging new technologies, and expanding company capabilities to stay ahead of trends.
  • Oversee the worker's compensation program, including training, tracking, reporting, documentation, and coordination with insurance and healthcare providers.
  • Observe operational trends and deliver insightful recommendations to senior management to drive ongoing improvements.
