Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field, plus 5+ years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and electrical safety requirements
- Proven success leading safety execution in active construction environments
- Experience providing hands-on leadership as part of a field team
- Strong communication skills with craft personnel, supervisors, clients, and subcontractors
- Support project startups, turnarounds, and other high-risk work activities
- Ability to obtain client-required safety certifications and site-specific qualifications
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and stay effective in a fast-moving environment

Responsibilities
- Drive consistent execution of Interstates safety programs, policies, and procedures across all assigned projects
- Partner closely with Operations leaders to build safety into planning, scheduling, and field execution
- Set clear expectations and help teams stay accountable for safety performance and compliance
- Lead serious incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Track and report safety metrics, trends, and leading indicators to drive improvement
- Visit jobsites regularly to observe work, identify risk, and reinforce expectations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client-specific safety requirements
- Allocate safety resources based on project risk, complexity, and staffing needs
- Support preconstruction and project planning to identify and reduce risk early
- Lead or support internal and external safety audits
- Share lessons learned and best practices to strengthen continuous improvement
- Partner on fleet safety and workplace security initiatives
- Support Automation, Design Services, OTIS (Operational Technology Infrastructure & Security), and M&S (Maintenance & Support) teams
