About The Position
At HazTek, safety isn’t just a priority — it’s our culture. As a Safety Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring every team member goes home safe each day. You’ll oversee safety operations on a large-scale commercial construction project, drive compliance with OSHA standards, and promote proactive safety leadership across the site.
Requirements
- CHST certification required
- Minimum 5+ years of direct construction safety experience
- Heavy civil and excavation experience required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with high-profile client is a plus
- Degree in a safety-related field preferred
- OSHA 510 and/or 500 a plus
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards
Responsibilities
- Provide general safety oversight across all project operations
- Conduct and document daily site inspections and safety audits
- Lead daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings and weekly Toolbox Talks
- Attend weekly progress meetings with clients to review safety performance
- Oversee subcontractor compliance with site safety programs
- Manage Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation safety plans
- Perform and document incident investigations, including near-miss events
