About The Position

As a Safety Manager, you’ll lead the charge in creating a safe, compliant, and productive work environment on a large-scale healthcare construction project. At HazTek, safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value. We’re looking for a collaborative safety professional who can support field operations, build strong relationships onsite, and help drive a proactive safety culture. This role will support a major commercial construction project in Danville, Pennsylvania. The Safety Manager will work closely with project leadership and trade partners to help maintain a safe and compliant work environment throughout all phases of construction.

Requirements

5+ years of commercial construction safety experience preferred
Previous healthcare, hospital, or large-scale commercial construction experience preferred
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices
OSHA 500 required
CPR/First Aid certification required
Strong communication skills and field presence

CHST certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Provide daily onsite safety oversight for active construction operations
Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices
Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientation support
Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety documentation
Partner closely with project teams, subcontractors, and field leadership to reinforce a proactive safety culture
Support high-risk construction activities including material handling, heavy equipment operations, excavation, overhead work, and confined space activities
