About The Position

HazTek is seeking a seasoned Construction Safety Manager to support a large-scale capital construction project at an active pharmaceutical/industrial facility. This role requires a collaborative leader who can integrate contractor safety programs with site operations while driving visible leadership and a strong safety culture. Requirements

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments
  • Experience working in active/operating facilities preferred
  • Strong communication and contractor management skills
  • OSHA 30 required
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills

Nice To Haves

  • CHST, CSP, or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the project Construction Safety Plan
  • Review and approve contractor safety plans, risk assessments, and high-risk activity procedures
  • Provide visible safety leadership through audits, inspections, and field engagement
  • Lead contractor coordination meetings and support project team collaboration
  • Oversee permit-to-work systems, LOTO, heavy lifts, and high-risk construction activities
  • Monitor safety performance, validate reporting, and coordinate incident investigations
  • Support commissioning, pre-start-up safety reviews, and project closeout documentation
