About The Position
Join a drywall contractor supporting federal, military, commercial, and mission-critical construction projects throughout the Washington, DC area. Project scopes include drywall installation, interior systems, framing, finish work, and multi-trade construction activities. The Safety Manager will oversee safety performance across multiple active projects, manage onsite safety representatives, conduct field observations, support incident investigations, and ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements.
Requirements
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification
- EM 385-1-1 Training/Certification
- Current First Aid / CPR / AED Certification
- Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
- Previous Safety Management Experience Required
- Experience Managing Multiple Construction Sites Simultaneously
- Experience Leading Accident and Incident Investigations
- Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
- Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 Requirements
- Working knowledge of Federal & Military Construction Safety
- Working knowledge of Drywall & Interior Systems Construction
- Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
- Working knowledge of Multi-Site Safety Oversight
- Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
- Working knowledge of Safety Auditing & Compliance Inspections
- Working knowledge of Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
- Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Working knowledge of Safety Training & Workforce Development
- Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Working knowledge of Regulatory Compliance Management
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (Spanish) Highly Preferred
- CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST, or Other BCSP Credential
- OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 Certification
- Federal Construction Experience

Responsibilities
- Provide safety leadership across multiple active construction projects
- Manage and mentor onsite safety representatives assigned to project sites
- Maintain a strong field presence through routine site visits and observations
- Develop, implement, and manage company safety programs and initiatives
- Conduct site audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments
- Lead accident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385, client, and project-specific requirements
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and safety plans
- Conduct safety training, orientations, and workforce engagement activities
- Work directly with project managers, superintendents, and field leadership
- Track safety performance metrics and reporting requirements
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all assigned projects
