About The Position

This position supports both the Manufacturing and Field Service (Construction) divisions by assisting in the implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and compliance initiatives. The Safety Manager works closely with operations leadership, field personnel, and the EHS Director to help maintain compliance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable OSHA/MSHA regulations. The Safety Manager assists with safety training, field audits, incident reviews, corrective action follow-up, risk reduction efforts, and operational safety support across multiple locations and project environments. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational ability, and practical knowledge of industrial manufacturing and construction safety operations.

  • Must be capable of maintaining professionalism in fast-paced operational environments
  • Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job
  • Ability to perform work in office, manufacturing, and field environments
  • Ability to wear required PPE including respiratory protection when necessary
  • Ability to walk jobsites, climb stairs/ladders, and work in varying weather conditions as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating periodic and annual safety training activities
  • Help identify training needs across manufacturing and field service operations
  • Participate in approved training activities and safety meetings
  • Support implementation of company safety programs, procedures, and communication initiatives
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations
  • Attend weekly Field Service scheduling meetings as assigned
  • Review crew assignments for compliance with company and client safety requirements
  • Attend pre-outage planning meetings as assigned by the EHS Director
  • Conduct periodic field audits and site visits during outage season
  • Immediately report all incidents, injuries, near misses, inspections, and safety violations to the EHS Director
  • Participate in incident reviews and corrective action discussions
  • Assist with tracking corrective action items to completion
  • Assist with facility and project audits to evaluate compliance
  • Help identify hazards, compliance gaps, and operational risks
  • Work closely with the Safety Administrator (SA) regarding third-party compliance platforms
  • Maintain organized project, audit, and training documentation
  • Assist with updating safety forms, records, and training materials
