This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety across multiple trades on a fast-paced commercial construction project while partnering with project leadership, subcontractors, and craft personnel to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • Experience supporting General Contractor operations
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of General Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Commercial Construction Operations
  • Working knowledge of Multi-Trade Construction Coordination
  • Working knowledge of Distribution & Logistics Facility Construction
  • Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work Activities
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
  • Working knowledge of Safety Auditing & Compliance Monitoring

Nice To Haves

  • Distribution center or logistics facility construction experience
  • Experience supporting multiple subcontractors and trades
  • Commercial construction experience
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
  • Amazon project experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily safety activities for general contractor operations
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Coordinate safety efforts among multiple trades and subcontractors
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety coaching
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Partner with project management and field supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a positive safety culture across the project
