About The Position

TRC is seeking motivated and diverse interns for its Summer 2027 internship program. This is a paid, full-time position anticipated to run from June through August 2027, with flexible dates. The role may transition to a full-time position upon graduation. Interns work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Be a junior, senior, or master's student pursuing a master's, bachelor's, or associate degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Have communication and research skills, work independently, and take initiative.
• Possess solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Be honest, hard-working, ready to learn, and interested in growth.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Esri ArcPro or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level GIS work, including creating maps and working with ArcGIS Online and web-based solutions.
• Support field staff using GPS and mobile field collection systems.
• Support preparation of client reports, plans, and specifications.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
