About The Position

Prysmian is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Intern to gain hands-on experience in workplace safety, compliance, and environmental sustainability in a manufacturing environment. The intern will contribute to creating a safer and more efficient workplace by supporting safety inspections, HSE programs, compliance activities, and environmental initiatives.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Be at least a sophomore.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be able to work in a manufacturing environment and perform site inspections.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments.
• Support the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
• Participate in employee safety training sessions and awareness programs.
• Track and analyze safety performance metrics, including incidents, near misses, and audits.
• Assist with accident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Help ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health and safety regulations.
• Support environmental initiatives, including waste management, energy efficiency, and sustainability programs.
• Maintain and update safety records, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to promote safety and environmental responsibility.
