About The Position

Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Safety & Health Manager to join our Team in the Yazoo City, MS area. The HSE Manager provides support and oversight for the administration and overall implementation of jobsite health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the HSE Director. The role involves establishing procedures for specific goals in a broad area of work where only results are reviewed, and developing procedures within the limits of policy and guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have Safety Manager experience
• Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace

Nice To Haves

• B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or approved equivalent certifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with identification of jobsite HSE needs and strategies
• Staffing of project locations with qualified HSE personnel
• Guidance and support of jobsite Health and Safety Managers
• Implementation of HSE improvement tools and processes
• Provide appropriate interface and guidance for project locations and management team on health and safety issues.
• Interface with Project Management personnel
• Implementation and monitoring of the Company's HSE Management System
• Tracking and trending of critical company HSE data and metrics
• Providing input for the updating of key company HSE programs and processes including company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance items.
• Provide appropriate interface and guidance for project locations and management team on health and safety issues as related to overall responsibility
• Assist with identification of departmental HSE needs and strategies
• Assist in development of HSE improvement tools and processes
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
