The Safety Specialist evaluates and enforces safety protocols followed on various job sites. The employee will ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, ANSI, VOSH, etc.). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Organize safety training for employees and report problems to management. Visit job sites weekly to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment, and material. Research and implement new materials handling processes and safety training. Analyze accident reports and evaluate injuries. Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees and vendors. Review injury and incident inquiries and evaluations.
