About The Position
Boston Government Services (BGS) is seeking a Safety & Health Industrial Hygienist to support clients at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The position supports industrial hygiene activities in a national security environment and works with Industrial Hygiene Program Managers on technical data reviews. It is a full-time, fully onsite role with a Monday–Thursday, 40-hour workweek.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree with 10–15 years of experience, or a Master of Science degree with 8–13 years of experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with 10 CFR 850.
Responsibilities
- Assist Industrial Hygiene Program Managers in executing technical data reviews; preferred experience with 10 CFR 850.
- Conduct workplace investigations when Standard Threshold Shifts (STSs) are identified.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of physical, chemical, and biological exposure sampling data, including air sampling, surface wipes, and direct-reading instrumentation.
- Perform office ergonomic assessments, including reviewing user symptoms, corrective actions, equipment recommendations, and follow-up verification.
