About The Position

GEM Technologies is seeking an Industrial Hygienist / Safety Professional to support the DOE’s Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This full-time position supports industrial hygiene program activities, including technical data reviews, workplace investigations, exposure-sampling data quality reviews, and office ergonomic assessments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 10 or more years of relevant experience; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must be a U.S. citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued clearance, if needed.
Experience executing technical data reviews.
Experience conducting workplace investigations when Standard Threshold Shifts (STSs) are identified.
Experience conducting QA/QC reviews of physical, chemical, and biological exposure sampling data, such as air sampling, surface wipes, and direct-reading instrumentation.
Experience performing office ergonomic assessments, assessing user symptoms, identifying corrective actions, recommending equipment, and conducting follow-up verification.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience with 10 CFR 850.

Responsibilities
