About The Position

Vay is rewriting the rules of urban mobility by offering a service where customers can summon a car that arrives with no one inside, powered by their world-first Remote Driving technology on real public streets. They are currently live in Las Vegas and rapidly expanding, supported by a significant investment from Grab. Vay's mission is to replace private car ownership with a faster, cleaner, door-to-door mobility model. They are the first to deploy vehicles in Europe and the USA on public roads without an onboard human driver and operate the second-largest commercial, driverless car fleet in the Western World. Vay has also partnered with Kodiak to integrate their remote-driving technology into autonomous trucks in the US, demonstrating its applicability to heavy-duty commercial vehicles. Having completed tens of thousands of trips, they are actively expanding their Las Vegas fleet to meet demand and plan to grow across the US and Europe. This Safety Driver role in Las Vegas, NV, is safety-critical, focusing on protecting remote driver trainees and other traffic participants. The Safety Driver will support the Remote Driver Academy, ensuring safe and efficient driving activities, and contribute to testing and mapping drives to expand and adapt Vay's Operational Design Domain (ODD) for the safe development of their remote driving system.
