About The Position

The Construction Safety Coordinator will oversee a multi-level steel erection project. This is a 1099 Contractor position with a duration of 3+ months, starting on 5/19. The role requires 48 hours per week, with a schedule of M-Thurs (4) 10's and Friday 8. The hourly rate is $45/hr for local candidates, and per diem is not applicable as only local candidates will be considered. A completion bonus of $150/month is offered, and pay is on a weekly frequency.

Requirements

• OSHA 30
• Steel erection experience preferred
• Strong communication and public speaking abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
• In-depth understanding of EHS principles and construction safety regulations
• Ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards and best practices
• Familiarity with mechanical construction safety, particularly underground piping operations

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments across multiple project sites
• Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions
• Deliver safety orientations and ongoing training for employees, subcontractors, and new hires
• Partner with project management and field teams to identify and mitigate safety risks proactively
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, inspections, and compliance records
• Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements
• Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team
