About The Position

The Construction Safety Coordinator will oversee a multi-level steel erection project. This role involves conducting routine safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments. The coordinator will also lead incident investigations, deliver safety orientations and training, and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements. A key aspect of this position is promoting and reinforcing a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team.

Requirements

OSHA 30
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
In-depth understanding of EHS principles and construction safety regulations
Ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards and best practices
Familiarity with mechanical construction safety, particularly underground piping operations

Nice To Haves

Steel erection experience preferred
Strong communication and public speaking abilities
Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information

Responsibilities

Conduct routine safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments across multiple project sites
Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions
Deliver safety orientations and ongoing training for employees, subcontractors, and new hires
Partner with project management and field teams to identify and mitigate safety risks proactively
Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, inspections, and compliance records
Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements
Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team
