About The Position

The Site Safety Coordinator (2nd Shift), located in Winder, Georgia, is a visible, approachable, floor-level partner who helps employees and Operations recognize exposures, apply approved safety requirements, and verify that safeguards work in practice. Through employee engagement, risk-focused observations, training support, timely reporting, and disciplined follow-through, the Coordinator helps integrate safe work into daily operations and supports early hazard reporting and shared learning across shifts. This developmental role is intended to build technical judgment, influence, and future EHS leadership capability. The Coordinator supports risk recognition and prevention, incident learning, training and competency activities, records and program stewardship, workplace safety programs, and return-to-work coordination. The role works closely with employees, supervisors, plant leaders, EHS leadership, and cross-functional partners. It maintains meaningful floor presence during assigned hours and communicates open hazards, events, temporary controls, and follow-up commitments through documented shift handoffs. The position may pause work presenting an apparent immediate hazard and facilitate approved routine corrections within delegated authority. High-potential exposures, repeat conditions, significant or overdue actions, and issues requiring technical review or approval must be escalated. The Coordinator supports, but does not replace, operational, supervisory, statutory, or management responsibilities, and does not independently approve exceptions, equipment commissioning, or closure of higher-tier actions. The role supports applicable North American safety management systems and jurisdiction-specific requirements. The manufacturing environment includes industrial and mobile equipment, noise, variable temperatures, dust, and other site-specific exposures. Regular floor presence, walking and standing, appropriate PPE, and occasional schedule adjustments may be required to support operational needs, emergency response, coverage, and training across shifts.
