About The Position

Spartan Carrier Group is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Safety & Compliance Supervisor to join their team. This role is crucial in promoting and maintaining a culture of safety and operational excellence. The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the company stays ahead of regulatory requirements and internal standards, with a focus on proper onboarding, qualification, and continuous compliance of drivers and contractors with FMCSA and DOT regulations.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience in compliance, safety, HR, or administrative support
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to stay organized, manage time, and meet deadlines
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems

Responsibilities

• Process new employee and contractor onboarding, including background checks, MVRs, DOT compliance, and health screenings
• Assemble, audit, and maintain Driver Qualification Files in line with DOT standards
• Monitor and update driver credentials such as licenses, medical cards, and insurance documentation
• Conduct and report quarterly safety and compliance audits
• Respond to employee inquiries and support general HR administrative functions
• Assist with the recruitment process and employee engagement initiatives
