About The Position

At Children's Mercy Camber Olathe, we ensure every person is safe and connected to a strong family and a healthy community. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Safety and Support Representatives. In this vital role, you will provide direct supervision and engagement for youth and adolescents, modeling safe behavior and using effective problem-solving skills to meet patient needs. Requirements

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
At least one year of related experience or training.
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general typing.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Maintain alertness and respond to changing conditions.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Successful completion of crisis intervention and safety hold training is a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in behavioral health settings.
Familiarity with trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
Experience engaging individuals during a behavioral health crisis.

Responsibilities

Supervise unit activity and patient movement to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
Follow individualized treatment plans and provide essential support to youth and adults.
Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
Complete accurate documentation.
Transport patients to appointments.
Act as a role model, focusing on solutions and building upon the strengths of the children and families we serve.
