About The Position

The Safety and Security Pool Attendant is primarily responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests and associates within the pool areas. This role requires compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards, and may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions, including high heat. The position involves patrolling property areas, monitoring access, conducting checks, responding to emergencies, and maintaining detailed reports.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license required
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
Ability to work outside in high heat conditions
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to assist with moving objects weighing more than 75 pounds
Completed First Aid/CPR training course

Responsibilities

Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access
Monitor pool access gates and conduct personal items checks for guests
Conduct daily patrols around pool decks to ensure resort policy is adhered to
Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and safety checks
Respond to accidents and assist guests/employees during emergency situations
Defuse guest disturbances and escort individuals from the pool area if necessary
Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and facilitate interviews with relevant parties for reported incidents
Complete required shift reports and maintain confidentiality of all safety and security documents
Manage the Lost and Found function, including pick up and guest inquiry
Follow all heat-related procedures when working outside
Partner with housekeeping and engineering departments to address safety hazards
Conduct First Aid/CPR training course
Manage the opening and closing of the safety and security command post at pool decks, including portable AC coolers, first aid items, guest items, and checking pool access gates
