Essential Responsibilities: Lead all site-level EHS initiatives in accordance with OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, and other applicable regulatory agencies. Manage and continuously improve the facility’s Safety Program, including training, audits, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and incident investigations. Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste, stormwater, and wastewater management. Monitor and manage the facility’s industrial wastewater system, including compliance reporting, sampling schedules, and coordination with municipal water authorities. Conduct environmental inspections and ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste. Maintain EHS records, permits, and documentation required for regulatory compliance and internal audits. Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and HR to ensure safe work practices and employee accountability. Manage safety committees, lead monthly meetings, and support behavior-based safety (BBS) programs. Develop and deliver training related to safety, environmental compliance, emergency response, lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, PPE, and other EHS topics. Lead emergency preparedness planning, including fire drills and spill response procedures. Track and report EHS metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses, etc.) and develop actionable plans to improve performance.
