Lee Spring Company LLCNew York, NY
$75,000 - $90,000Hybrid

About The Position

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will own all OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulatory compliance across all Lee Spring facilities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for OSHA inspections, agency inquiries, and regulatory correspondence. Responsibilities include maintaining OSHA 300/300A logs, managing recordkeeping and annual electronic submission requirements, and ensuring all required permits, registrations, and compliance filings are current and submitted on time. The manager will stay current on changes to OSHA 29 CFR 1910, EPA regulations, and Connecticut OSHA/DEEP requirements. Key duties involve developing, implementing, and maintaining written safety programs, building and managing the company's Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) program, conducting and overseeing annual equipment inspections, and developing and managing chemical safety programs. The role also includes leading the annual PPE hazard assessment process, evaluating machine guarding, partnering with engineering and operations on controls, and supporting press die change safety procedures. Additionally, the EHS Manager will develop and deliver EHS training programs, lead incident investigation and root cause analysis, and build a proactive safety culture. Environmental management includes overseeing chemical waste disposal and ensuring wastewater and air emissions compliance. The position requires multi-plant oversight, including travel to all Lee Spring facilities for audits, training, and incident investigations, as well as developing standardized EHS documentation. Over time, the role will support the development of management systems, including potential ISO certification efforts, and partner on audit readiness and improvement projects.
