We’re looking for crew members to join our team as a Safety Ambassador Supervisor! Exceptional front-line customer service, willing to go above and beyond for both fans and fellow crew members, possess a positive “can-do” attitude …rain or shine -the show must go on!

Requirements

  • University or College Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Post-Secondary Education OR experience in mental health, community services, and/or health and safety fields strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with de-escalation tactics
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team and understanding of staff deployments
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs and occasional sitting
  • Able to work outdoors (rain or shine), among crowds and in a loud environment
  • A passion for live events!
  • All crew members must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Applicants for employment in Canada must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 20+ Safety Ambassadors on a show-by-show basis; They will assist with keeping the venue safe, clean and presentable to the guests
  • Complete pre-shift briefings for all assigned staff and create deployments on a show-by-show basis
  • Ensure all assigned staff breaks are completed in a timely manner during each event
  • Ensure the Safety Ambassador department is identifying guests in possible distress or experiencing a medical issue and liaising with medical staff to connect appropriate care
  • Encourage and coach team to proactively approach escalating situations to de-escalate in a calm manner
  • Create protective space for our fans by warning persons of rule infractions or violations of venue policies, preserve safety & order
  • Provide assistance to guests with accessible needs, including but not limited to helping with seat accommodations, or those who may be having a mental health episode
  • Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency
  • May assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas and examine tickets or VIP passes to verify authenticity
  • Lock-down of areas and access control duties for guest and artist safety
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
  • Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program which could include participating in programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts
  • Must participate in Live Nation Canada zero waste/sustainability initiatives at the venue
  • Other duties as assigned
