About The Position

As the Safety Administrator, you will assist the Safety department by generating, filing, and maintaining safety and health records, organizing committee meetings and agendas, coordinating and scheduling required safety training, tracking corrective actions and incident data, working with our medical administrator and HR regarding injury and claim tracking, entering incidents, injuries, and damage data into a tracking metric, and many other duties that require a high degree of attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of General Industry safety and health principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of administrative principles and tasks.
  • Ability to maintain necessary files and administrative records.
  • Strong PC skills and fluent in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint database software, etc.
  • Willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or 30 in General Industry preferred.
  • Multilingual, Spanish and English at a minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Safety & Health team to further the efficiency of the department through strong organization and planning.
  • Assist with program changes.
  • Maintain necessary files and records to support that the company is compliant with local, state, and federal laws, guidelines, and ordinances.
  • Enter training data and records into LMS.
  • Generate and analyze weekly claim reports to support operations.
  • Manage Safety and Environmental Compliance tracking systems (PROCORE).
  • Verify accuracy of OSHA 300 and 300A log.
  • Assist with the coordination and tracking of employee training.
  • Assist in the scheduling of training programs to maintain compliance.
  • Provide monthly reports status reports to the Plant Safety Manager.
  • Track employee annual hearing test.
  • Verify the completion of training, document, and issue safety equipment.
  • Track quantities of safety equipment and order supplies.
  • Maintain medical surveillance program & injury management claims with strict confidentiality.
  • Be responsible for all document retention efforts.
  • Be an active member of plant HazWoper team.
  • Be an active member of plant safety committee (PARAR).
  • Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
