About The Position

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated, well organised practitioner to work within the Safeguarding Adult Team. The post holder will support the Safeguarding Adult Lead and the Named Nurse to drive forward the safeguarding agenda. The role will work across all RWT sites delivering education and support for staff. It is important that the candidate can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, the post holder will need to work effectively and flexibly to respond appropriately to challenging circumstances and be able to work on their own initiative. If you are a self-motivated individual with a high level of interpersonal and multi-tasking skills and the desire to work within our safeguarding adult team then we would love to hear from you. This is a full time post. (37.5 hours per week, 9 am-5 pm per day)

Registered Nurse qualification
Evidence of continuing professional development
Experience in safeguarding adults
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
Ability to undertake interventional procedures with appropriate consent
Ability to assess risks and implement practices to minimise risks
Ability to report incidents and near misses promptly and appropriately
Ability to provide specialist advice on therapeutic interventions and clinical practice
Ability to implement practices appropriate to patient and service need
Ability to lead by example and develop self and other staff
Ability to provide clinical supervision to other staff
Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with colleagues, patients and clients and their carers, families and friends
Practise within the scope of personal professional competence and extend this scope as appropriate to service needs.

Responsibilities

Ensure a high standard of safe clinical care and record keeping in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Council, national legislation, and local standards.
