About The Position

Launched in 2025, Shields Advanced Therapies is a new platform launched by Shields Health Innovations, the organization led by Jack Shields which has been responsible for the creation and leadership of multiple national leading healthcare enterprises including Shields Health Solutions ($4.25B exit to Walgreens) and Shields Health (largest provider of MRI, PET/CT, and surgical services in New England). Cumulatively, Shields companies have created $10B+ in equity value and $25B+ in net new profit for hospital partners. Shields Advanced Therapies is a commercial, operational, and financial solutions provider to health systems focused on the acceleration of cell and gene therapies. Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA or MHA preferred
  • 10 years of work experience and a proven track record within a fast-paced growth company
  • Previous investment banking, financial services, and/or consulting environment is required
  • Healthcare services operational leadership experience required, prior P&L ownership is preferred
  • Experience in account or client management, owning relationships with executives & clinicians
  • Ability to lead executive & operational stakeholder meetings
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop C‑suite–ready presentation materials and to design, build, and rigorously validate complex financial models
  • Strong manager & motivator; cultural fit & relationship builder

Responsibilities

  • Run day-to-day operations for one of Shields' health system accounts within the New York region
  • Build and sustain high-impact relationships with hospital c-suite leadership, physicians, operators, hospitalists, and industry partners to drive strategic collaborations and market leadership
  • Devise & execute implementation plans across all service lines and all relevant disease states
  • Lead identification, business planning, & implementation of new sites-of-service and support expansion across the region
  • Translate strategic vision into measurable results via development of clear success metrics/KPIs, aligned incentives, disciplined execution, and continuous performance improvement
  • Drive regional P&L by identifying and executing a portfolio of growth initiatives
  • Create a positive team culture focused on delivering best in class patient care
  • Build, recruit, & manage site operations team
  • Steer the creation & execution of the operating model, service offering, and ways of working across regions
  • Contribute to product roadmap (service expansion) and technology product development; identify growth opportunities
