About The Position

TRM Innovative Hearth Products is seeking a skilled and experienced Material Handler, known as a Water Spider, to work in their busy warehouse. The Water Spider will be responsible for the safe utilization of staffing, equipment, and materials within their assigned area. This role involves moving, handling, and storing various materials, as well as pulling and carrying parts to improve departmental efficiency. Key tasks include tracking warehouse stock, recording orders, and storing merchandise. Water Spiders are regularly on their feet, loading and unloading inventory, supplies, and packages from different locations such as storage and production areas, delivery trucks, and loading docks. The role requires collaboration with customers and managers. The ideal candidate will possess some mechanical and construction experience, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. The successful applicant will also operate production line equipment, finish products, and report any equipment issues to supervisors, demonstrating behavior that supports IHP values.

Requirements

• Certification in forklift operation or ability to pass a forklift certification.
• Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery.
• Data entry, math, and computer skills.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 25-75 pounds.
• Effective leadership and team management skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely utilize staffing, equipment, and materials within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Move, handle, and store different materials within the warehouse.
• Pull and carry parts to improve efficiency for departments.
• Track stock within the warehouse.
• Record orders and store company merchandise.
• Load and unload inventory, supplies, and other packages from various locations (storage, production areas, delivery trucks, loading docks).
