About The Position
Howdy RV is seeking a skilled and motivated RV Service Technician to join our growing team in Aransas Pass, TX. The role involves diagnosing issues correctly, fixing them right the first time, and delivering high-quality workmanship. This is a Monday–Friday role with no nights, competitive flag-rate pay, and opportunities for income growth through bonus and commission. The company is building a strong, reliable service department and rewards experience, certification, and productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an RV Service Technician or in a comparable mechanical role
- Strong working knowledge of RV electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and sharp attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage your bay efficiently
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- RVTI certification or formal technical training preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, and cosmetic systems
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately
- Install and repair RV accessories and appliances
- Provide accurate labor and parts estimates
- Communicate clearly with the office team regarding repair needs and timelines
- Document all work performed and parts used
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Stay current with evolving RV technology and systems
