About The Position

Village Camp Moab is a premium RV and cabin resort located near Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The resort offers premium RV sites, adventure cabins, and luxury vacation rentals. This role is responsible for leading the resort team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and overseeing all aspects of resort operations. The position involves both leadership and hands-on work, with a dynamic pace that is high-energy during peak season and focused on planning and maintenance during the off-season.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of management experience in hospitality, campgrounds, RV resorts, vacation rentals, or property management.
  • Proven experience leading and motivating a team.
  • Genuine love for serving people and a calm, friendly presence under pressure.
  • Willingness and physical ability to do hands-on work outdoors in all conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and being on your feet for long periods.
  • Comfort with reservation software, email, and basic budgeting/spreadsheets.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak-season long days.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Basic maintenance or landscaping know-how.
  • Experience in a seasonal or tourism-driven business.
  • Love of the outdoors and the Moab area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team by hiring, training, scheduling, and supporting front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance staff, including seasonal and workamper team members.
  • Build a positive, respectful, team-first culture.
  • Set the example by working alongside the team in various tasks such as cleaning, landscaping, or handling guest issues.
  • Serve as the face of the resort, creating warm and memorable guest experiences.
  • Handle guest concerns with patience, kindness, and good judgment.
  • Build strong relationships with RV site owners and long-term guests.
  • Manage reviews and guest feedback to drive improvements.
  • Oversee daily operations, including reservations, check-ins, site assignments, and housekeeping.
  • Ensure the grounds, cabins, and RV sites are clean, safe, and guest-ready.
  • Perform hands-on work such as weeding, landscaping, cleaning cabins, and light maintenance.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and projects.
  • Enforce resort rules and policies fairly and consistently.
  • Manage the budget, control costs, and drive revenue and occupancy.
  • Track inventory and order supplies.
  • Prepare Owners Statements monthly.
  • Prepare reports for leadership.
  • Utilize the off-season for planning projects, staffing, training, and improvements.
