About The Position

Village Camp Moab is a premium RV and cabin resort located near Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, offering a unique experience with red-rock views and proximity to the Colorado River. The resort provides premium RV sites, adventure cabins, and luxury vacation rentals. As part of the Village Camp family, it aims to provide guests with unforgettable adventures and a feeling of a second home. This role is dynamic and fast-paced during the peak season, involving guest interaction, problem-solving, and operational management. During the off-season, the focus shifts to essential resort maintenance, planning, hiring, and preparation for the upcoming season, requiring a candidate who can adapt to both high-energy and quieter periods.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in hospitality, campgrounds, RV resorts, vacation rentals, or property management.
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.
  • A genuine passion for serving people and maintaining a calm, friendly demeanor under pressure.
  • Willingness and physical capability to perform hands-on outdoor work in various conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
  • Proficiency with reservation software, email, and basic budgeting/spreadsheets.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak season.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Basic maintenance or landscaping knowledge.
  • Experience in a seasonal or tourism-driven business.
  • A love for the outdoors and the Moab area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance staff, including seasonal and workamper team members.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-first culture.
  • Set an example by actively participating in hands-on tasks such as cleaning, landscaping, and addressing guest issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring warm and memorable experiences.
  • Address guest concerns with patience, kindness, and sound judgment.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with RV site owners and long-term guests.
  • Manage and utilize guest reviews and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee daily resort operations, including reservations, check-ins, site assignments, and housekeeping.
  • Ensure the grounds, cabins, and RV sites are consistently clean, safe, and guest-ready.
  • Perform hands-on duties such as weeding, landscaping, cabin cleaning, and light maintenance.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for necessary repairs and projects.
  • Enforce resort rules and policies fairly and consistently.
  • Manage the resort budget, control costs, and contribute to driving revenue and occupancy.
  • Track inventory and manage the ordering of supplies.
  • Prepare monthly Owners Statements.
  • Prepare reports for leadership.
  • Utilize the off-season for strategic planning, including projects, staffing, training, and improvements.
