About The Position

The RV Park Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly environment for guests, residents, employees, and property. This role supports overall park operations by providing a consistent security presence, helping prevent incidents, responding to safety concerns, and ensuring park rules and standards are followed. The position contributes to a positive guest experience by promoting a sense of safety, professionalism, and responsiveness throughout the property.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Must be able to obtain a CPR certification (company provided).
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to safely drive a company vehicle on request.
  • Must possess the ability to rationally and responsibly act in response to emergency/life threatening situations. This includes sufficient knowledge in use of force techniques and when they should be utilized.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  • Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily.
  • Work is performed in numerous environments with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of prior experience in a Security or RV Park related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular patrols of the RV park, including grounds, buildings, amenities, and perimeter areas to help ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, residents, employees, and property.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, disturbances, and violations of park rules, and respond promptly, calmly, and professionally when issues arise.
  • Serve as a visible security presence while enforcing park policies and maintaining order throughout the property.
  • Assist guests by providing general information, directions, and support as needed while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, de-escalate situations when appropriate, and coordinate with management and emergency services when required.
  • Document all incidents, irregularities, and safety concerns accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct routine checks of facilities, equipment, and common areas to help ensure proper security and upkeep standards are maintained.
  • Communicate clearly with management.
  • Conduct routine patrols of the RV park, casino, convenience store, swimming pool, parking areas, and surrounding property to identify and address safety and security concerns.
  • Assist with RV parking, electrical and water hook up, and directions to trash and wastewater dump stations.
  • Monitor guest and employee activities to ensure compliance with property policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, disturbances, accidents, emergencies, suspicious activities, and security-related incidents.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed incident, accident, and activity reports.
  • Assist with investigations involving theft, property damage, policy violations, guest complaints, and other incidents as directed.
  • Control access to restricted areas and assist with maintaining the security of cash handling operations and sensitive assets.
  • Provide security presence during special events, promotions, and peak operational periods.
  • Assist with upkeep and property cleanliness.
  • Enforce pool safety rules and assist in maintaining a secure environment around recreational facilities.
  • Observe and report maintenance, safety, and environmental hazards throughout the property.
  • Assist emergency responders, medical personnel, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies when required.
  • Provide directions, information, and assistance to guests while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Complete the required logs, reports, and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in safety drills, security training, and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
