About The Position

Howdy RV is hiring a full-time RV Lot Porter / Forklift Operator at its RV and boat dealership in Aransas Pass, Texas. The role keeps the RV and boat lot clean, organized, and ready for sale. The employee safely moves units with a forklift and tow vehicle, stages inventory for display and customer delivery, and supports the sales and service teams. The work is hands-on, outdoors, and active for most of the day. For the right candidate, this position can lead to a Technician-in-Training role. The employee can learn RV electrical, plumbing, and appliance systems, along with repairs and diagnostics, through hands-on training from the service team.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Forklift experience; certification is preferred, and the employer will certify the right candidate.
Ability to pass a drug screening.
Comfort operating equipment around high-value inventory with care.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather and safely lift and move heavy items.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification.
Experience towing or backing trailers.
Background in detailing, landscaping, marine, or general labor.
Mechanical aptitude or interest in becoming an RV technician.

Responsibilities

Safely move, park, and stage RVs and boats on the lot using a forklift and tow vehicle.
Load and unload inventory deliveries and dealer transfers.
Keep the sales lot clean, organized, and presentable.
Wash and detail RV and boat exteriors.
Perform basic grounds work, including trash pickup, mowing, and weed eating.
Set up units for display, photos, and customer deliveries.
Assist the service department with basic tasks as needed.
Complete daily forklift inspections and follow safety procedures and dealership standards.
