This role involves supporting a government agency and the office with translation, transcription, and interpretation services in Reston, VA.

Requirements

Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Three years minimum of work as a professional translator or interpreter within the last 5 years or recently completed M.A. degree in Translation or Interpretation.
Translation into English and source language(s).
Editing of written products.
Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise.
Translation Related Services.
Interpretation between English and source language(s).
Must pass customer testing ILR Level 4-5 in Russian and ILR Level 3+ or higher in Ukrainian.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree desired.
PhD degree desired.
Consecutive note taking, conference interpreting, editing, translation quality control (QC).
Human language Technology (HLT) CAT tools (e.g. Lilt, MS Suite etc.).
Professional associations, such as ATA, AIIC, TAALS, NAJIT, IAPTI, NCHIHC, etc.
Subject Matter Expertise in areas of Counterterrorism, Cyber and Science and Technology.
