This position is seasonal and contingent, lasting approximately 9-11 weeks, with potential adjustments based on volume and business need. The Rural Non-Congregate Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Houston Food Bank’s Kids Cafe Rural Non-Congregate efforts across an 18-county service area. The primary responsibility is to ensure program compliance with the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) guidelines for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). This role offers administrative, compliance, outreach, and customer service support to rural community partners, facilitating equitable food distribution through a grab-and-go service model.
