About The Position

The Limestone Coast Local Health Network is seeking a Rural Generalist Physiotherapist for a 12-month temporary appointment in Kingston, South Australia, commencing in early 2027. The start date is negotiable and extension opportunities are likely. The position is classified at either Allied Health Professional Level 1 (AHP1) or Level 2 (AHP2), depending on the successful applicant’s qualifications, experience and demonstrated level of practice. Full-time work is preferred, but part-time arrangements are negotiable. The role delivers high-quality, person-centred physiotherapy to the Kingston community and surrounding areas. The rural caseload spans inpatient, outpatient, community and outreach services, using preventative, early-intervention, treatment and rehabilitation approaches. There may be capacity to support surrounding communities, including Naracoorte and Lucindale, and further develop outpatient and community services. At AHP1, the physiotherapist works with direct clinical support that decreases as experience develops, with advice, mentorship and supervision from experienced physiotherapists. At AHP2, the physiotherapist manages more complex clinical practice with reduced clinical direction, drawing on developed generalist and/or specialist knowledge, and may contribute to supervising and developing less experienced allied health professionals, assistants and students. The role is supported by the broader Limestone Coast Local Health Network Physiotherapy Network, including access to clinical supervision, professional development and education. The employer describes the Limestone Coast Local Health Network as serving more than 67,000 people, with over 1,800 staff and approximately 250 volunteers. The role offers a regional allowance and professional development allowance under the applicable Enterprise Agreement, salary sacrifice, leave loading, and possible relocation reimbursement and accommodation support. Potential ongoing employment is also noted.
