The UW DFMCH Rural Family Medicine Obstetrics (FMOB) fellowship is a 24-month fellowship that provides needed surgical training and high-risk obstetrical experience for family physicians who plan to care for a rural population. The fellowship will also provide an opportunity for family physicians to enhance their clinical, teaching, scholarly, and leadership skills in obstetrics. This position will be research, clinical care, and teaching. There will be 80% academic time, and 20% for clinical care. Clinical care will include patient care at a Family Medicine Clinic, as well as precepting residents and other learners in the clinical setting. May also participate in faculty call and coverage of the family practice services, if appropriate. This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. Terminal, 12 month appointment (with anticipated additional 12 months as determined by program) This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
