About The Position

Engages and assists guests through all elements of meal service and all of the components involved at the highest level of hospitality. Communicates with guests, general public, management, and staff. Understands and complies with Policies and Procedures, job description, job requirements, daily memorandums, and other instructions.

Requirements

  • Able to learn and retain new menu information on a daily basis in order to effectively articulate to guests.
  • Able to speak proficiently and passionately about food descriptions and menu items.
  • Must be proficient in multi-tasking and able to maintain composure in a fast-paced and high service level establishment.
  • Able to read, write, and speak verbally in English.
  • Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all department management, staff, personnel, and the general public.

Nice To Haves

  • One year or more of service in a food-driven and high service level establishment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fully understands all offerings of food menu and beverage list, including ingredients, preparation, delivery, and service expectations.
  • Delivers all required Standards of Service (e.g., Sequence of Service, proper plate presentation, proper presentation of items with descriptions to guests, seat numbers, etc.).
  • Actively engages guests with food details upon delivery while offering further assistance.
  • Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe work environment.
  • Transports and polishes clean wares, utensils, and accessories to the area needed.
  • Complies with opening and closing as well as on-going side work duties.
  • Provides direct and consistent communication with the culinary and management team.
  • Listens to and resolves customer complaints regarding service, product, and personnel.
  • Effectively processes service responsibilities from service staff such as Tableside Guides and Mixologists.
  • Meticulously cleans and resets dining room tables and seating during and after meals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates ability to learn and change behaviors based on feedback from a manager.
  • Routinely shows up to work in a timely fashion prepared to work.
