About The Position

KAUBOI is a Japanese steakhouse where fire meets finesse. Savor robata-grilled specialties, craveable sushi, and a curated selection of Japanese whiskies in an electrifying, seductive atmosphere. We are looking for individuals who are fun, hospitable, hard-working, polished, enthusiastic, team players with a positive attitude, who are memory-makers with professionalism and a detail-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will have a warm and friendly demeanor, the ability to show warmth, empathy, and hospitality, and can handle high volume at the bar while maintaining the highest level of service and quality cocktails. They must be able to keep up with business needs within the restaurant, possess extensive food & beverage knowledge with an eagerness to learn more, and support the service team to ensure guest needs/requirements are met in a timely manner. Professional appearance and behavior are expected at all times. This role involves walking with graceful efficiency through the bar & dining room to assist with service demands and requires a flexible work schedule including overtime as needed, with availability for irregular hours, shifts, weekends, special events, and holidays.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 years of fine-dining busser/runner/barback experience.
High volume bar experience is also ideal.
Strong customer service skills.
High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate, college degree.
Must be detail-oriented.
Ability to carry 3 hot plates comfortably and with grace.
Must be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
Punctual, regular and reliable.
Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
Ability to be on your feet for an entire shift.
This type of work involves a combination of sitting, walking, and standing for periods of time.
